Hikvision face recognition terminal Singapore

This is the Hikvision face recognition terminal Singapore offices mount on the door frame: one wall unit that reads a face in under 0.2 seconds, holds 1,500 of them, and takes an M1 card, a fingerprint or a PIN when a face will not do. One PoE cable carries the data, the power, and the 12 VDC the lock needs.

What it holds

Everything a Hikvision face access terminal has to remember.

Four credential types and one event log, all on this Hikvision face access terminal itself — which is why the door keeps working when the network does not.

1,500
faces

A Hikvision face recognition terminal Singapore offices buy for one door still holds 1,500 people: read at 0.3–1.5 m in under 0.2 s, masks supported, anti-spoofing on.

3,000
fingerprints

Under a second each — the credential most Hikvision door access Singapore sites keep for the inner doors.

3,000
M1 cards

13.56 MHz on the same Hikvision face access terminal, for contractors, couriers and the estate that still runs on cards.

150,000
events

Held on the DS-K1T342MFWX-E1 itself, so an outage does not lose the morning.

The unit itself

Eight parts of the Hikvision face recognition terminal Singapore offices meet at 08:30.

Ninety-one millimetres wide, 181 tall, 24.5 deep, 0.36 kg on a gang box at 1.4–1.9 m. Tap any part — on the drawing or on a card — and the two light up together.

Where the face recognition terminal Singapore range actually starts.

Drag the person across the lobby. The band is the 0.3 to 1.5 m Hikvision publishes for this model, so a Hikvision face access terminal reads a face a step before the handle, and a Hikvision face recognition terminal Singapore staff walk past every morning never becomes the queue at the door.

The terminal is one line on the quote — this is the rest of the door.

Two things change the list: whether the opening is one leaf or two, and whether it is a glass door or a wooden one. Pick yours — the package below follows.

Straight from the box

Six things the Hikvision DS-K1T342MFWX-E1 manual asks for.

These are the lines in Hikvision's own quick start guide that decide whether a door works on the day or six months later. We follow them, and we tell you when your door does not suit them.

01
Indoor use only

The guide's installation environment is explicit: indoor use. Avoid backlight, direct sunlight and sunlight coming through a window behind the reader — that is what the IP65 rating does not solve.

02
1.4 m to 1.9 m

Recommended installation height. Below 1.4 m people are read looking down; the guide's own diagram puts 0.5 m as too close and 1.4 m as correct.

03
Gang box, not a bare wall

The mounting plate goes on a gang box with two supplied screws, then the device onto the plate with one. The wall has to bear three times the weight of the device.

04
Silicone around the cable hole

The guide asks for sealant around the cable entry so nothing runs down the cable into the back of the unit.

05
Two independent supplies

Power supply 1 and power supply 2 are separate: the guide says never wire the device to the electric supply directly, and the 12 VDC lock output only exists when the terminal itself is on PoE.

06
Wiegand set to Output

If the terminal feeds an existing access controller, the guide has you set the Wiegand direction to Output before it will transmit.

Manufacturer's published specification for the DS-K1T342MFWX-E1, read 8 September 2026. Performance figures are quoted from controlled testing; on a real Hikvision door access Singapore job the numbers move with the lighting and the mounting height, which is what the site walk checks before a Hikvision face recognition terminal Singapore offices rely on is ordered.

FAQ

Hikvision DS-K1T342MFWX-E1: good to know.

It is the Hikvision face recognition terminal Singapore offices ask us for most often, and the one we put on most main doors. It holds 1,500 faces, 3,000 fingerprints and 3,000 M1 cards on one unit, reads a face in under 0.2 seconds at 0.3 to 1.5 m with anti-spoofing on, and runs on standard PoE so one Cat6 run carries the data and the power.

The unit is S$388 indicative at today's market. Installed, a Hikvision face recognition terminal Singapore door is quoted from S$980, because the number is set by the lock the door can take, the cable run back to the comms rack, whether a PoE port is free, and how many people have to be enrolled on the day. A Hikvision door access Singapore quote is fixed after a 30-minute door walk. Prices exclude GST.

Yes. On a Hikvision door access Singapore install, when the terminal itself is powered by standard PoE it supplies 12 VDC at 1 A to the door lock, which is why a single run is usually enough. If you power it from the supplied 12 VDC/1 A adapter instead, that lock output is not available and the lock needs its own supply.

It can. The unit carries an RS-485 port and a Wiegand port, so it can sit in front of an existing controller as a reader while keeping its own face database, and it reads M1 cards at 13.56 MHz. That is how most sites move the entrance to faces without replacing the readers on the inner doors.

Hikvision publishes mask-wearing recognition and face anti-spoofing as supported functions on this model, with a stated accuracy above 99% and recognition under 0.2 seconds per user. Those are the manufacturer's figures from controlled testing; real doors vary with lighting and mounting height, which is what the site walk checks.

Yes. This Hikvision face access terminal supports an attendance-only function, so a door that stays unlocked can still record arrivals, and it holds 150,000 events on the device. Duplicate-face checking stops two people enrolling the same face, which is the usual attendance problem.

No. A Hikvision face access terminal from us goes on business premises only — offices, clinics, retail units, workshops and warehouses. We do not take residential jobs, and we make no grant or subsidy claim on this product.

Installed, we fit the terminal, the EM lock (one on a single door, one per leaf on a double door), the emergency break glass, the exit push button, the power supply, and we supply and terminate the Cat 6 run from the door back to your router. Glass doors get U- and L-brackets so nothing is drilled into the glass; wooden doors take the lock on the frame. What is not in the DS-K1T342MFWX-E1 box itself: In the box you get the terminal, a 12 VDC/1 A power adapter and the mounting plate. We list every one of those per door on the quote so nothing appears later.
