Cloud Backup
in Singapore
Your office can burn, flood or get ransomed - and you restore anyway. Real cloud backup Singapore businesses can trust means an onsite Synology NAS, an offsite copy and an immutable cloud layer - the 3-2-1 rule - set up and test-restored by the same Singapore team since 2012.
Trusted by Singapore Organisations
The 3-2-1 rule, run and tested for you
Keep 3 copies of your data, on 2 types of media, with 1 copy offsite - the backup standard referenced by CISA, because no single failure can take out all three copies at once. Most Singapore SMEs think the NAS humming in the server cupboard is their backup. It is not - it is one fire, one flood, one stolen unit or one ransomware hit away from total loss. We have been called in after all four.
Test restores, on a schedule
1Production
- Your live data on workstations and servers
- Cloud servers, data servers, Microsoft 365
2Onsite NAS
- Synology NAS in your office
- Fast local restores, snapshots
3Offsite / Immutable Cloud
- Encrypted copy in a Singapore data centre
- Immutable - ransomware can't alter it
The layer most SMEs skip is the third one - the only one that saves you when the office itself is the problem.
Cloud backup services Singapore: what we cover
The cloud backup solutions Singapore businesses actually need - the whole chain, from the storage box on your floor to the offsite copy you hope you never need. Six coverage areas on one pipeline - scroll, and watch the pulse clear each one.

Your fast onsite layer
For the onsite copy, we standardise on Synology. A Synology NAS in Singapore gives you fast local restores, role-based access, and a clean way to run the 2-of-3 media requirement without a second server - and we cover the full job, not just the hardware sale.
- Synology Singapore supply and setupSourced through authorised Singapore channels so warranty and firmware support hold.
- Synology NAS Singapore configurationRAID chosen for your tolerance, volume encryption, Active Directory integration, snapshot schedules.
- NAS storage Singapore sizingSized to your data growth, not today's footprint - so you're not re-buying in 18 months.
- NAS-to-cloud replicationThe NAS replicates to the offsite copy automatically - the third 3-2-1 layer is never a manual chore.

Four steps from first call to steady-state
- 01
Discovery
A Singapore engineer inventories your servers, NAS, Microsoft 365 and data volume - and asks when your last restore test was.
- 02
Audit & Quote
Your setup mapped against the 3-2-1 rule, the gap shown in writing, and a quote that separates one-time setup from recurring fees.
- 03
Implement
NAS configured, offsite replication wired, immutable cloud layer on, Microsoft 365 backup running - then the first test restore.
- 04
Maintain
Daily monitoring, missed-job alerts, scheduled test restores with a documented report you can hand to an auditor.
One copy flatlines.
Three keep beating.
Free cloud sync isn't backup, and a single drive fails. Here's what the same ransomware night looks like on both monitors.
- ✕One copy, in the same room as the problem
- ✕Ransomware syncs into the "backup" - free sync tools copy the encryption
- ✕Microsoft 365 left to its recycle bin - retention is not a backup
- ✕Cloud servers assumed safe because they're "in the cloud"
- ✕Last restore test: never
- ✓3 copies, 2 media, 1 offsite - no single failure kills all three
- ✓Immutable cloud copy ransomware can't alter or delete
- ✓Microsoft 365 mail, OneDrive & SharePoint backed up separately
- ✓Cloud server and data server folded into the same plan
- ✓Test restores on a schedule, with a report for your auditor
How cloud backup is priced in Singapore
Three things set the price: how much data you hold, how fast you need to restore (RTO), and how far back versions must go (retention). We quote to those - not a flat per-seat rate.
Backup Essentials
- Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace backup
- Mail, OneDrive & SharePoint covered
- Daily, encrypted, versioned
- Retention set to your policy
Managed 3-2-1
- Synology NAS onsite + offsite replica
- Server, endpoint, cloud server & M365 backup
- Immutable ransomware-proof copies
- Daily monitoring + missed-job alerts
- Scheduled test-restore report
- Setup and recurring fees itemised
Data Recovery
- Class-100 cleanroom recovery
- RAID / NAS array rebuild
- HDD / SSD / flash media
- Project-based, no retainer
Every quote separates the one-time setup (NAS, configuration, initial seed) from the ongoing managed and offsite-storage fee - so you can see exactly what is capital and what is recurring.

How much does cloud backup cost in Singapore?
Cloud backup in Singapore is priced on data volume, restore speed (RTO) and retention rather than a flat rate. A small office backing up documents costs far less than a studio holding terabytes of assets. Rezolva separates one-time setup (NAS and configuration) from the recurring managed and offsite-storage fee, and quotes both to your actual data.
Is a Synology NAS enough for backup?
No. A Synology NAS in Singapore is an excellent onsite layer, but on its own it is a single copy in a single location - vulnerable to fire, theft, flood and ransomware that spreads to it. It becomes real backup only when paired with an offsite or cloud copy, which is the third part of the 3-2-1 rule.
What is the 3-2-1 backup rule?
The 3-2-1 rule means keeping 3 copies of your data, on 2 different types of media, with 1 copy offsite. It is the backup standard referenced by CISA because no single failure can wipe out all three copies at once. Rezolva builds backup around it for Singapore businesses by default.
What is offsite backup and why do I need it in Singapore?
Offsite backup in Singapore is a copy of your data kept away from your office - in a Singapore data centre or cloud - encrypted in transit and at rest. You need it because every onsite-only backup shares one fate with the office: a single fire, break-in or ransomware event can take the live data and the local backup together.
Do you back up servers as well as files?
Yes. Server backup in Singapore covers Windows Server, Linux and virtual machines with image-level and bare-metal backups, so a failed server is restored whole rather than rebuilt. We agree RPO and RTO targets with you so the backup matches the downtime your business can tolerate.
Can backup protect against ransomware?
Yes, if it is immutable. Standard backups can be encrypted or deleted by ransomware that reaches them, but immutable cloud storage cannot be altered or deleted within its retention window, even with admin credentials. That is why our managed backup services in Singapore use immutable storage where ransomware is a concern.
Does Microsoft 365 need a separate backup?
Yes. Microsoft 365's built-in retention and recycle bin are not a backup - deleted mail, sites and files age out, and account compromise can wipe them. We back up Microsoft 365 mailboxes and SharePoint separately so a deleted or compromised account is recoverable.
What is the difference between a cloud server and a data server?
A cloud server is a virtual server you rent from a hosting provider and reach over the internet, instead of owning the hardware. A data server is any server whose main job is storing and serving data - file shares and databases - whether it sits in your office or in the cloud. Both need their own backup: hosting keeps a server running, but it does not protect the data on it from deletion or ransomware.
How often should backups run and be tested?
Most Singapore SMEs should run backups at least daily, with critical systems more often, set by your RPO. Testing matters as much as running: Rezolva schedules test restores and reports on them, because backup and restore Singapore businesses pay for is only proven when the restore half has actually been exercised.
Book a backup assessment
Tell us what you are running - servers, NAS, Microsoft 365, how much data - and we will map it against the 3-2-1 rule, show you where the gap is, and quote a managed backup setup that closes it. One Singapore team that sets it up, monitors it, and proves the restore works.
